Yup, it’s really him. Here is the picture we’ve all been searching for of Mr. Olympic hero Michael Phelps smoking the dope. This picture could possibly tarnish Phelps’ so-called squeaky-clean reputation.
But not me, though.
My view of him was a little bit tarnished when he was arrested for drunken driving a while ago and basically given a slap on the wrist.
But this picture shows that he is human.
At the end of the day, Phelps is just a human who apparently does make mistakes. At least he didn’t try and cover up his mistake and lie about it saying the image was doctored or claim that it wasn’t him. At least he came out and apologized for his wrongdoing and insisted that he won’t do it again.
I still hold respect for Phelps for admitting to his mistake and apologizing for it. If only we can get Roger Clemens, Mark McGwire, Sammy Sosa and Barry Bonds to admit to their mistakes and apologize for it. At least I’ll have a little respect for them.
Stick this in your pipe and smoke it, Mike. But don’t let it bring you down.

Surprise! He is human after all. When will we stop selecting certain people and demanding that they be more than that. I guess it puts the lie to the idea that you can’t have physically excellent performance and smoke marijuana. Apparently you can. But I think we already knew that, whether we choose to admit it or not.

^um, actually there is a plethora of scientific essays, papers, documentation, studies (even youtube videos) that PROVE that smoking marijuana, the main ingredient in the drug being THC, is a very potent strong form of acid which lasts for up to 30 days, and that it renders the user completely useless and unable to do anything other than sit/lay down and laugh while they gain weight from eating an endless array of junk food; not stopping even when their stomach is too full for more. Some people get very addicted to marijuana and start shooting it up or snorting it. Marijuana in these forms are known as heroin and cocaine. They are the 2 most deadly drugs/(technically forms of marijuana) on earth. Are you people starting to see what the “Gateway Theory” is? (It’s “The Gateway FACT” btw.

No, I’m no pot head. And I do know the research regarding the active component of marijuana. However, as with most drugs, the original source plant has much less negative potential. Back in 1972, when I was in college, my biochemistry professor used to say it made him suspicious when such a huge amount of money and effort was taken to produce such a meager amount of negative effects.
And since I later became a biochemist myself, I can say definitively that THC, heroin, and cocaine are three very different chemicals with very different effects. To say they are “technically” forms of marijuana is just plain iying.
